Mr. Arif Hyder Ali is a partner in Crowell Moring in Washington DC and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University, where he teaches international commercial and investment arbitration. Prior to joining his previous firm, Fulbright & Jaworski, Mr. Ali was a Senior Counsel at the World Intellectual Property Organization's (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center, a Section Chief at the UN Compensation Commission, and practiced international arbitration and public international law in Paris, France. Mr. Ali has represented parties from more than 30 countries in international commercial and investment arbitrations involving thermal, nuclear and hydro power plants, oil and gas pipeline construction and concession-related matters, patents and trademarks, and information technology. His practice also includes advising parties on appropriate dispute resolution methodologies and procedures, designing tailor-made dispute resolution schemes. Mr. Ali holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA, summa cum laude, Political Science, from Columbia University.
