The
co-founders are pleased to have the ongoing support of Oxford University Press is sponsoring six-month access to its online investor State arbitration resources for all registered teams.
The Ian Laird/Thomas Waelde Team Fund distributes donations to teams in the form of accommodation or travel subsidies. Donations, administered through CILS Benefactors, may be tax-deductible, and the full amount of all donations goes to teams. Teams receiving subsidies are selected based on available funds and team needs. We would like to thank FTI Consulting for agreeing to match all donations for 2010 up to US $2500. Donation Form US taxpayers may wish to donate via CILS Benefactors. A sponsor may offer a cash prize for the winning team, for the best memorial or counter memorial. We envisage a minimum of $1000 and a maximum of $3000. If a sponsor wishes to offer more, a multi year arrangement or offering several prizes (e.g. regional incentives) would be advisable. A law firm could sponsor an internship at its office in city X, Y or Z (with cost of living stipend) for one, two, ... months for the best oralist as an individual prize. A cash prize for an individual would also be possible. A sponsor may wish to encourage participation from a particular region by offering a prize to the best team from Latin America, Asia, Africa, .... If a sponsor wished to be more specific, then a team sponsorship pledge would be advisable (see above). Fellowship opportunities, course scholarships and tuition rebates and book prizes would also be possible. Prize sponsors will be listed on the competition website (including logo display), print materials, and certificate of award. Significant sole prize sponsors may name and present the prize at the awards ceremony.
Social event sponsors assume the financial responsibility for cocktail receptions, opening or closing dinners, lunches, etc. (PoA). CILS staff will assist with venues, caterers and budgeting. Sponsors who wish to contribute to an event with a fixed sum will be identified as co-hosts. Please enquire with organizers regarding attendee numbers for the various social events. Social events envisioned are Opening Cocktail Receptions (beer, wine and soft drinks, and appetizers), Opening Dinners - separate beverage sponsorship possible, Coffee/Tea Station during Hearings, Team Lunches (box lunch, sandwiches, fruit), Board and Arbitrator Lunches (light three course lunch in faculty dining room), Closing Dinner - separate beverage sponsorship possible Social event sponsorship benefits include Listing on the competition website including a revolving logo display and mention in preliminary and final print materials, Mention on signage at social event ensuring recognition of sponsorship, Attendance and networking opportunity at competition for two representatives, recognition at social event address by presiding officer, opportunity to provide each participant with a token gift/souvenir at the event
